David Gould (fl.1885 1930) RA. RHA.

David Gould was a Landscape and flower watercolourist.
He was born in 1871 and died in 1952.
Gould's home town was Ambleside and he was first recorded as living there in 1885.
David was a part of the Lake Artist' Society and it was at his home that the inaugural
meeting was held 12th October 1904. Before this Gould sent four landscapes to Carlisle
Art Gallery's exhibition of the year 1896.
He was working in Ireland in 1918, and 1928.
Gould has exhibited in the Royal Academy, the Royal Hibernian Academy, the Glasgow Institute
of Fine Arts, and at various galleries in the provinces, until 1930. He was represented by Abbot
Hall Art Gallery, Kendal.
