Charles Rossiter
1827 - 1897

Charles Rossiter (1827-1897) was a painter, engraver and illustrator of genre scenes. He served an apprenticeship with a
picture restorer and managed to attend some classes at the Royal Academy Schools. He exhibited at RA from 1852-1890
and he was a member of the Young Engravers Club.
His work is included in the collections of the Birmingham Art Gallery, the Athenaeum and the V & A.
